Monday marks the 50th Anniversary of the aborted Apollo 13 mission. On this day in 1970, an oxygen tank explosion aboard the Apollo 13 craft forced NASA to abandon the third planned lunar landing. The crew of three astronauts famously radioed "Houston, we've had a problem" to control before escaping and re-entering the Earth's atmosphere in the command capsule, which splashed down into the Pacific Ocean. They emerged unharmed.
